Mr P of the defunct P’Square has a message for music enthusiasts. The message is that he has done it.
“I mean, people are seeing it on my Instagram. Let me be honest with you, Mr P is killing it.” The singer said emphatically in a recent interview with Hot 93.3FM’s The Koffee Gang
“I don do am!”
What has he done?
In the days after the breakup of the P’Square group, Peter “Mr P” Okoye was touted as the least likely to have a successful solo career.
The assumptions were made due to Mr P not being the most visible in the group. His brother, Paul “Rudeboy” Okoye was apparently the backbone of the group.
But since the group’s breakup last year, Mr P has gone on to release four songs since 2017 including: “Cool It Down”, “My Way”, “For My Head” and “Ebeano”.
“People might think can he make it alone? No, I’m not making it! I’ve done it. I don do am!”
Mr P cited the attendance at his recent concerts as some of the markers of his success as a solo artist.
“Just this year alone I’ve done like -something concert: all sold out!”
