The Federal Ministry of Health has appointed Mr Eazi and Timi Dakolo as the new face of it’s campaign against tobacco use.
Their appointment is part of the effort of the government to raise awareness on the danger that tobacco poses. Their appeal to the youth constitute a huge factor in their appointment.
Cigarette smoking is responsible for more than 17,500 deaths per year in the Nigeria including those who die from second hand exposure. On average, smokers die 10 years earlier than nonsmokers.
Their appointment was announced via the social media handle of the Ministry.
