Mr Eazi is lowkey making moves industry-wide. A few weeks ago, reports came out that he had signed a record deal with Diplo’s record label, Mad Decent. The deal is to pitch Mr Eazi’s craft to the US and UK audience. A result of which was so far a remix of his hit song “Legover” with Major Lazer. The Banku-music pioneer is not stopping yet.
Yesterday, according to a tweet by Mr Eazi himself, a deal between his own label, Banku Music and the Africa-arm of the Universal Music Group has materialised.
Eazi, who is presently promoting his latest “Akwaaba” dance which is already viral worldwide, said the deal is a “label-licensing deal”.
Both Banku Music and UMG Africa will jointly release Mr Eazi’s upcoming project, Life Is Eazi Vol.2: Lagos To London.
