MI Abaga has revealed his biggest wish for African hip-hop proponents.
The rapper explained in an interview today that all he wanted for rappers in Africa was utmost respect for their craft.
He said older rappers in Africa were putting in so much works and the new entrants into the scene were also ready to take over.
MI insisted that while the rappers who have attained legendary status should be respected, the younger generation of rappers should be allowed to do what they wanted to do.
“What I want to see is that the OGs be respected and the young guys be allowed to do what they need to do.”
Abaga described the efforts of the younger generation of African rappers as legendary by all means.
He also challenged the younger generation of rappers to put the legends on their feet.
“It’s your time now, take the mantle from us and push it as far you can go.”
