Meet Terry Omisanya, The Nigerian Man Who United Cardi B & Nicki Minaj… With A Selfie

A New York-based Nigerian YouTuber, Terry Omisanya, will henceforth be remembered as the one who put stories of a purported beef between rapstars, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B to rest. Omisanya did it with just one selfie, that would later become iconic.

Omisanya who has 170k YouTube subscriber was at the recently conducted MET Gala when he took the selfie. He also had selfies with some of the biggest names in the industry like: Janelle Monae, Childish Gambino, Michael B. Jordan and Chadwick Boseman. Most of the photos are available on his Instagram.

The YouTuber explained in an interview what he had told Nicki Minaj and Cardi B before they agreed to appear in the selfie.

“I was talking with Paris Jackson. [Then] I looked to my right, that’s Nicki Minaj; I looked to my left, that’s Cardi B.” Omisanya said.

“I straight told them… I said to them, this moment right here is bigger than the MET Gala. In twenty years, this would be very important. And I ask if we could capture it.”
