Ghanaian rapper, M.anifest has landed a new gig as Music director for the adaptation of one of Chimamanda Adichie‘s books. The movie is based on the short story On Monday of Last Week from the book The Thing Around Your Neck and will be directed by Ghanaian-American producer and filmmaker, Akosua Adoma Owusu.
Akosua obtained the film adaptation rights to Chimamanda Adichie’s book which will be produced under her production house, Obibini Pictures. The storyline revolves around feminism (duh!) immigration, and family.
M.anifest is one of the biggest Ghanaian acts out there and has worked with the likes of Erykah Badu, Tony Allen, Flea to mention a few. We have no doubt that he’ll do a very good job.
