Remember how we brought you news of Diplo headlining the 2017 edition of 2017? Well, nature decided to play a fast one on the organizers and he almost couldn’t perform his set due to the rain.
The event took place at Eko Atlantic on Saturday and all was fine till Simi‘s performance. The rain began and almost ruined the show. The good people of Lagos persevered and refused to leave till they heard Diplo play.
Artists like Davido, Dremo, Mayorkun, Ckay, and BOJ all performed in the rain and tried their best to hold forth for the DJ and producer.
He eventually came on stage after a brief battle with waterlogged equipment. He played the new versions of Tekno and Mr Eazi ‘Pana’ and ‘Leg Over’ which were recorded for Major Lazer.
He made the drenching by the rain worth it!
