D’Banj recently announced that his CREAM Platform has crossed the two million subscribers mark just a few months after its launch.
The CREAM Platform was launched early this year to mentor upcoming musicians in Nigeria, and help to launch their careers. The platform provides funding for winners to shoot videos and opportunities to receive mentoring from established artists who are part of the judges.
“We have a great team of judges and A n R which includes Godwin Tom and Harrysongs, Ice Prince, Wande Coal, to help mentor the artists which we are bringing on board.”
In a recent press conference, the DKM boss stressed however that the platform was not a lottery but a talent management platform.
“I was shocked to see that in a few months, we had over 2Million subscribers. So, it’s not a lottery platform, the lottery part of it is just an added incentive.”
The former Mohits star has since started to invite winners to the CREAM Platform so they could see for themselves that it was a real scheme. He said that most of the people who register on the platform and ended up winning were often scared of going to claim their prizes.
“Those who have already received their money, they know it is not a scam.”
While unveiling a new set of winners, the veteran singer said that he created the platform to cater for the needs of upcoming artists who want a chance to reach the limelight but didn’t have the means to help them reach their set goals.
