Davido has signed rapper, Sinzu to his record label, DMW. The signing has yet to be confirmed by either artist or the label, but Davido’s lawyer posted this on Twitter earlier today.

However, an official announcement is expected to be released this evening during Davido’s show in Washington. The singer had tweeted earlier that he would be unveiling a new artist.
“Announcing my new artist tonight in DC.” Davido wrote in the tweet.

Furthermore, a video posted on Davido’s snapstory on Snapchat and captioned “New DMW signing” has since sparked off conversation that the “new artist” is rapper, Sinzu.
In the video, a voice which sounded like one of Davido’s associates’ screamed “Sinzu” repeatedly. Sinzu was video making homely gestures while his name was hollered.
Details of the deal, which some have described as “major”, was yet to be made public.
If the deal is announced this evening, it would be the second time Davido and Sinzu would be working together in a major way.
Davido first worked with Sinzu, formerly known as Sauce Kid, back in 2012 on his smash single “Carolina”. The single would become a hit, enjoying massive airplay all over Nigeria.
A controversy on ownership of the song would later ensue after Davido performed the song alone, without obtaining permission from the Sauce Kid, the real owner of the song. However, the two would later settle.
Davido has also confirmed the signing. The singer made the confirmation last night during his show in Washington.
The video of his performance and unveiling was posted in a tweet on his Twitter timeline.
