Davido wants artists in the diaspora to come back to Nigeria. The singer thinks it is foolhardy to try to reach home audience from abroad.

The DMW boss made his position known in a recent interview with Pause Magazine.

Davido said if diaspora artists were going to penetrate the market, it is best to operate from within the market.

“If they’re trying to reach somewhere it’s the best place to be. But it just depends, to be honest. Mr. Eazi was in London, then he came back,” the Atlanta-born star opined.

Davido explained that the reason he was fronting the international movement was because he was one of the pioneers of the movement.

“To be honest, me, I’m not into this international stuff but I’m really doing it because I’m one of those people pioneering this movement. I have to put a cape on my back and do it for the culture but I always prefer being at home.”
