Embattled singer, Burna Boy, has been granted ₦100,000 bail after pleading not-guilty of the charges of conspiracy and accessory to robbery in the robbery incident that left singer, Mr. 2Kay, injured at Eko Hotel & Suites last month.
According to a News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report, the singer was arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate Court yesterday in Lagos.
The Chief Magistrate, Aje Afunwa, granted the musician bail in the sum of N100,000, with two sureties in like sum.
The prosecutor, Peter Nwangwu, alleged that Burna Boy had contracted some hoodlums to execute the robbery attack on fellow singer, Mr. 2Kay, in his room at the Eko Hotel and Suites.
Nwangwu alleged that Burna Boy committed the offence on October 24, at 11.20 PM, with three others who are yet to be apprehended by the police.
The three-man gang allegedly swung to action after receiving order to rob Mr. 2Kay from Burna Boy’s Road Manager, Joel Kantiock.
The prosecutor claimed that the offence contravene of Sections 411 and 415 of the Criminal Law of Lagos 2011.
The Magistrate, Aje Afunwa, adjourned the case till December 29 for further hearing.
