BoomPlay has signed a licensing deal with Warner Music in a deal that will allow the African streaming service access Warner’s catalogue.
The company had previously announced a partnership with Universal Music and since then, its user acquisition has grown up to 6 million more users.
The new deal with Warner will allow BoomPlay provide access to up to 1 million music to its users in ten African countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Cote d’Ivoire, Zambia and Cameroon.
Before this deal, BoomPlay has a catalogue of 5m songs, a figure boosted by its earlier deal with Universal.
