Banky W has just released his newest project Songs About U under his label Empire Mates Entertainment. The singer has labeled the project an ‘album playlist’ and it’s his first solo release in more than 4 years.
Just over over a month ago, Banky announced his engagement to his Wedding Party co-star Adesua Etomi. The couple held their wedding introduction shortly afterwards. In building anticipation for the Song About U project, the R&B singer explained that most of the songs were about his wife-to-be.

Songs About U is a 10-track project that features Maleek Berry, Nonso Amadi and Chidinma. Production credits go to Nonso Amadi, Cobhams Asuquo, Masterkraft, Chris Cubeta, Maleek Berry, Alex Deturk & Sukasounds. There’s a special song dedicated specifically to Adesua Etomi (Susu) titled “Heaven”.
The project is currently available exclusively on MTN Music+ but will be out on iTunes on June 1st.
