2Baba has denied the rumours of his arrest by men of the Department of State Security. The artiste who backed out of the planned protest (which he called for) at the last minute for reasons unknown took to Twitter to deny that he was arrested.

His cancellation disappointed a lot of people and led to the speculation that he must have been arrested by the officers of the DSS to warrant such cowardice.

The protest however held in Lagos and other cities despite him and had in attendance Charlie Boy, Seyi Law and other celebrities.
