Davido recently launched his new label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW). Initially, we thought the company was formed specifically to interface with Sony Music Entertainment West Africa on the singer’s behalf but it turned out that Davido was going to sign new acts as well. Dremo and Mayorkun are the first acts on the label and they have a new song with their boss and an affiliate Ichaba, it’s called “Back to Back” produced by Fresh.

The question on everyone’s mind must be what happens to HKN Gang? We analyzed the goings-on at the label about a month ago. Danagog released the second installment of his Free For Fanagogs mixtape this week and as far as we know, with the exception of Deekay, everyone else is still signed to HKN Music.
Has Davido left his team stranded on HKN island to form a new movement with DMW? We’ll see.
