UK based artist, Moelogo has released his new EP he calls Magic. Magic comes several years after 2015’s Ireti.
In 2016, Okay Africa described ‘Logo as London’s rising Afrobeats star. Magic will help deepen the artist’s grip on the genre.
Despite the artist’s positioning as one of the movers of the UK Afrobeats scene, he has connected more with Nigeria in the past few years.
His efforts to nurse a Nigerian audience dates to the release of his Ireti EP. Moelogo has now performed the single “Ireti” off the EP at several Nigerian shows.
Also, he was at the Palmwine Fest 2 last year where he sang the chorus to SDC’s “Ragabomi”, a song that even shot him into the minds of Nigeria-based audience.
Magic is now available for streaming on major streaming platforms. Although, it is yet to arrive on BoomPlay, streamers can still get it on iTunes.
The EP contains 8 songs couched in ‘Logo’s well-known strong points of contemporary RnB and Afrobeats.
However, the artist did not feature any other artist on the project, standing strongly by its solo project premise.
Magic opens with “God’s Work”, “Grateful”, “Magic”, “Luku Luku”, and “Mad”.
Other songs on the project include: “On me”, “All about you” and “Heard you say”.
