DMW artist, Idowest has released his EP, Mafia Culture. This is the artist’s first major label release ever.
The project was silently announced during the end of the week. It is now available on multiple streaming platforms.
Idowest first made his break into the Nigerian mainstream in 2017. He appeared on the massive single “Legbegbe” by Mr Real that year.
Since then, the artist has made major leaps in his career, bagging a deal with Davido’s DMW and releasing successive singles. Those singles never picked up, however.
Mafia Culture is a continuation of the artist’s effort to announce his presence in the mainstream.
Idowest is doing so by enlisting support from not-too-known artists, Abramsoul and his fellow DMW associate, Yonda.
The new project has only 7 tracks and it provides a window into the potentials of the singer.
“Ye mama”, “A day money”, “Skr skr” make up the opening numbers on Mafia Culture.
Other tracks on the project are “Forever”, “WHO”, “Dripilos” and “Jaiye”, where Yonda appears.
