Burna Boy has been seeing high since last year. He continues on that level into 2019. Already, he has performed at Coachella coupled with a host of collaborations with some US artists. His latest collaborative effort is with Beyoncé on “J’ara E”.
When “Ja Ara E” dropped last week as part of The Gift, an album curated by Beyonce, many immediately tipped it as the most solid release off the album.
Only two days after, Burna Boy dropped “Pull Up“, a single preceding the release of his upcoming African Giant album, set for release July 26.
On “Pull Up,” which premiered earlier today on Beats1, Burna sings about a girl he can’t stop thinking about over mid-tempo production.
“What’s up? You alright? Pull up, I’m outside,” he sings melodically atop scattered strings and percussion.
The song is yet another proof of Burna Boy’s ability to take different styles and do it well.
