Rapper A-Q has emerged winner of this year’s “Lyricist on the Roll” category of 2019 The Headies Awards. The veteran rapper earned three nominations for his work on his joint album with Loose Kaynon Crown this year.
This year’s The Headies was themed “The Power of A Dream” and it was the 13th edition ever done.
A-Q joins others like the legendary Modenine, M.I Abaga and Vector who have also won the award.
Remilekun Khalid Shafaru, popularly known as Reminisce and TV presenter and actress, Nancy Isime were on hosting duties.
Meanwhile, Falz the Bahd Guy won the “Album of the Year” and “Best Rap Album”, A-Q was also nominated in the latter category, with his full length project Moral Instruction.
In the non-hiphop and rap categories, of course, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, and Teni the Entertainer took The Headies home.
