Eva Alordiah recently cleared up rumors of her retirement which made the rounds last week.  The rapper  took to her personal blog to pen an open letter to her fans to explain the confusion.

When I said “Eva Alordiah Live 1” was my last show as a music artiste, what I meant to say was I am ending that chapter where I played out the role of just being a music artiste and beginning a new, even more fulfilling one as an all encompassing creative artist.

Rumors of Eva’s early retirement from music came up after the rapper published a confusing post on Instagram in support of the “One Nite Live and Unplugged Concert with Eva Alordiah”.

The post was published on 25th, March 2016 but Eva was forced to clear the air merely a week later.

This is not the first time the femcee has been in the news for making remarkable about-faces either. In May, 2012 she gushed about penning a record deal with eLDee and Trybes Records,

But after reports of a parting of ways between Eva and Trybe Records had began to circulate, she performed a sensational U-turn in August when she granted Bella Naija an interview  and denied ever signing a record deal in the first place.

I have pretty much survived my whole career without ever signing on to any record label contrary to all the many reports you might have heard about my “supposed” affiliations with this and that label. I get a lot of support from a lot of well meaning people, but have I ever being signed to a record label.

However, perhaps Eva’s most significant change of heart is her oft-delayed debut album “1960|. The highly-anticipated project was initially scheduled for a January 2015 release but is now set to hit shelves sometime this month.
