MI has been really particular about the state of Nigerian hip-hop recently. His last few actions as regards hip-hop in Nigeria have drawn criticism as well as accolades from different quarters.

The Chocolate City Rapper once again stan(ned) for Nigerian hip-hop once again during his performance at the recently concluded Sound City MVP awards in Lagos.

MI had recently claimed Nigerian hip-hop was behind South African hip-hop in relation to the quality of content the two scenes churn out.
However, CDQ was unimpressed with MI’s stunt during his performance at the show, stressing that “hip-hop is hip-hop ” and that there was “nothing like Naija hip-hop”.

CDQ also admonished MI to focus on making money instead of paying attention to what was not necessary.

MI is yet to respond to the rapper’s Instagram post.
