As you know, American Soul artiste India Arie was in Nigeria recently. She performed at the Jazz & Soul music concert tagged ‘Sax Appeal 5′  at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos.

She sat down to an interview after the event with Soundcity’s Pearl. She dished on how growing up as the daughter of a famous athlete shaped her life and also her incredible love for music.

She also talked about the Nigerian artistes she would love to have collaborations with. On the list are Asa, Simi, Tiwa Savage, Tubaba, and the legendary King Sunny Ade. She had earlier on stage performed Tiwa’s ‘If I Start To Talk’ and Simi’s ‘Love Don’t Care’.

She said: ‘I must have a collaboration with King Sunny Ade in my lifetime’.
