Leader of the Bantu Collective, Ade Bantu, has stressed the need for team spirit between Nigerian artists, producers and their songwriters.

Bantu said in a chat with HIPTV recently that Nigerian artists did not often write good songs.

He said Nigerian artists needed to work with a team of producers and songwriters so that they did not get boring.

The band leader insisted that most Nigerian artistes were bad when it comes to writing good songs.

He said that although they always had good approaches to writing their hooks, the same energy should be put to writing their songs.

“A lot of them are not good when it comes to songwriting. They are good hook writers. But they don’t write good songs.”

Bantu reiterated that Nigerian artists also needed to work on their stage performances as most of them only mime their songs on the stage.
